A Night Rainbow, The Moonbow

A Night Rainbow, The Moonbow

A Poem by Confuser
"

Waiting for Love

"

Night’s Rainbow, The MoonBow

A rainbow glistened in a dark sky

Spreading through starlight

Thunder roared as lonely clouds

Ripped into the atmosphere

Upon my wave of hopefulness

I search for you my dear

Miraculous Lights twinkle

Gleaming brilliant colors flow

Into my pleading heart and soul

I’ll wait forever, never to let go

Many years and many days

But nothing changed your plane

I danced for sweet rain to bring

You near, for the rare Moon’s

Bow to appear " now I see

It’s half ring hidden in my memory

A hundred different ways to collide

With my propensity to laugh and cry

Waiting for drops to take my pain

Pretending my meek measures would

Make you smile, but life’s too short

For lonely clouds these parched days

Longing I asked the moon to come down low,

But the hellcats of hullabaloo said “oh no no”

You need only a mist to see his rainbow

Tenderly embrace our dark paradise

It calls for love’s blissful guise

Rainbow produced by the reflection of the moonlight, Moonbow, certainly a rare but must be a beautiful natural phenomenon.
Loved your imagery, the first 10 lines are my favourite, especially the given part is more than beautiful,

Thunder roared as lonely clouds
Ripped into the atmosphere
Upon my wave of hopefulness
I search for you my dear.

Well done, dear Dale.

I actually looked up in wikipedia about a moonbow. It is indeed a very mysterious yet beautiful phenomenon. The words painted the whole scene out wonderfully, and in between flowed the emotions.

"You need only a mist to see his rainbow" This sentence is truly amazing, combining both the natural phenomenon and the feelings of love within. Thank you very much for sharing, Dale. It is a beautiful piece and made me learn something! :)

Hmmm! This poem is highly articulated with deep meaning and diffrent interpretation. There something romance with nature your poetry speaks metaphorically. Well done, Mrs. Confuser.

The images you have created are stunning in this poem of love and longing. I'm drawn in by the softness of your words, the gentle emotion shared. So soft and lovely Dale.

hi Dale, i've seen a moon halo and that's beautiful, a moonbow would be fantastic, your poem reflects that fantastic moonbow, a gorgeous romantic rendition of thoughts and wishes mixed into your unique style, its a piece of moonglow that makes the moon bow of your dreams :)

Dale, Moonbow? Is that used in nighttime archery? (kidding...) It's actually a very interesting concept, a very creative idea. Rainbows during the day, why NOT a Moonbow at night? The wordplay and phrasing in the rest of the write is spellbinding, magical tenderness seeping from each separate clip. So well written, with a mystical quality to it, much like Stevie Nicks' "Rhiannon." Beautifully penned! take care...dan
