Spring Spice

Spring Spice

A Poem by Confuser
"

Short observation about spring & the changing season

"

Spring Spice

Below the nebula star burst explode

Brandishing the sky from below

Blue sways with magnum clouds

Spring winds fill the world around

Lower to the earth’s surface oak

Branches alert to this awakening

Spreading out like molasses on

A Warm biscuit platter with tiny buds growing glances webbing out like ghostly dances, but a nest hovers upon a thin limb, like magic it floats; the small circle is open dead center like an angel’s halo.

I love this. It has such beautiful images and such great sensory language. I don't normally like poems but yours actually allows me to imagine the scene like it were a scene from an old movie. Keep on doing whatever it is you're doing to get inspiration for these great poems because its working.

Imbued in magic do seem all the wondrous elements of nature. A spring symbolizing a new awakening is celebrated beautifully in this great poem. Much appreciated and enjoyed.

Spring has sprung here too Dale. YAY!
you've really outdone yourself here, I feel.

"Spreading out like molasses on
A Warm biscuit platter " - gorgeous imagery here

"tiny buds growing glances..." - what imagination you display.

I was in two minds about the apparent change of narrative tone (for want of a better description on my part) - I was going to suggest dropping 'but clearly' and 'is open dead centre' but they 'grow' on the reader.
Its all here - Spring - in this write. Bravo Dale. More like this please...

There's something magical about Spring.. it's like fingerprints - one is never the same as another. This poem graphically describes the highlights, the treasures that only loving eyes truly appreciate and considers for longer than a fleeting moment. Your writing always has amazing heart.

Magical as your words awaken the senses. Gentle as your thoughts blossom in angelic halos. Otherworldly as your your intentions explode in inky skies. Bravo.........

Branches alert to this awakening

A Warm biscuit platter with tiny buds growing glances webbing out like ghostly dances, but clearly a nest rests upon a limb like magic it floats, the small circle is open like an angel’s halo.
