The pain of a child who only wants love.

 

Lost Child

 

Cursed, lost, forgotten.

In all the pain an' heart break,
the tears that still stain my face -
with all the bruises an' broken bones
faded – gone.

But my heart endures all -
all the pain,
it still remains -
trust betrayed.

Now only I brave my past alone,
lies of truths - I must know
the hows, the whys
the whys - the hows.

Who gives them the right
to hit, to hurt, to cut, to beat.

To deny one child a simple smile,

to know of love.
