A life is gone

A life is gone

A Poem by White Rose
"

This is a poem dedicated to our men and women in the military and to their families.

"
A letter is in her hands
she trembles as she reads.
Her heart is shattering,
her tears begin to roll.
Her life, that life, is gone.

"That soldier, the one she loved so,
is dead," said the letter,
"But give his heart to her.
That is all he asked."

She falls to the floor,
the wailing begins,
calls begin to pour in.
She answers none of them.
She is over, just as he is.

A soldier is a soldier,
he fights for what he believes;
he fights for his family.
He dies in the process, some
but his belief is there.

A letter is in my hands
 I tremble as I read.
 My heart is shattering,
 my tears begin to roll,
my life, our life, is gone.

Author's Note

White Rose
A tribute to the men and women who fight day after day for our country and the sacrifices that they and their families make for us all. This is all that I can say to not experience in such a situation, but I do have family in the military and I do know what it is like to lose someone from war. My blessing to all our soldiers bearing what is to come in their lives and forward and to their families as well. God be with you always and forever more. God bless the USA and her warriors.
