No son of mineA Poem by White RoseThis is of a boy who is trying to talk to his father but gets the cold shoulder.
Come,
sit with me, we must talk, we must learn what it is we both want. You go first, tell me all you want to; tell me anything insult me, hate me just do me this favor, tell me why. You don't speak you just stare back at me. Why do you deny me of this? All I want is to know why, why do you treat me this way? Fine, I'll go first, I love you I'll always love you, but I hate you I hate you as much as anyone could. You're my father and, yet, you treat like a stepchild. You never treat me like a person I'm just a dog that you must feed, or so it seems. Tell me now, what do you want to say? Tell me anything I'll listen to you, I promise this. You're still staring at me, TELL ME! WHY AM I NOTHING TO YOU! You stand up and walk away from me. You walk to the door, don't do this. Your hand swiftly opens it, please I beg you. The door is completely ajar, please father. "Get out," you say "You're not my child, go home. I don't want you. You're no son of mine." What did I do to make you hate me? What did I say? Why won't you tell me? You're my dad, my protector, my blood, will we ever get past this wall? One day, I hope we will. One night, I hope we share, but until then I see now I shall walk without you. And for now, I'm not a son - to anyone. © 2010 White RoseReviews
