PrologueA Chapter by White RoseThis is at night, it's in third-person. i hope you like it.Screams fill the night like a nightmare fills a child's head. People running about in a frenzy on the main streets of Lout de Crout. Houses burning into the night along with the remaining forests in the area. A young girl with long dark brown wavy hair runs into the burning forest, afraid to be in the open. She runs as fast as she could as hard as she could for as long as she could. She runs to the heart of the forest, avoiding the burning trees, falling branches, and burning bushes as she does so. In the heart of the forest it was green and untouched. She dashes into the shadows only subconsciously aware of where she is going. She runs into a cave, hoping for someone to in there, someone she's only known in the center of her heart...but no one is in the cave. It is just a cold, dark, damp cave. "Mother Earth!" She cries with a quivery voice. "Mother Earth!" She knows not who or what she is crying for but, she feels if it is something that she needs. After many long minutes of utter silence, she sits at the mouth of the cave, burries her face into her hands, and begins to weep "Do not weep, my dear, for I am here," says an angelic unearthly voice. The girl jumps from the ground to her feet but stays firm. She slowly looks up from the ground. Standing in the middle of the large cave, that is longer and wider and a football field, is a tall and slender woman. Her features are exactly like the young girl except she is taller and her hair is less wavy. The young girl can only see the outline of the woman for she is standing in the shadows. The girl has a sudden urge to kneal and apologize for looking upon such beauty. She fight the urge, but it gains the better of her. She sees herself fall to the ground on her hands and knees with her forehead lying on the cold, damp ground. "I'm sorry, Mother, I sould not have looked upon such beauty as you," the young girl hears the words pass her lips. "It is okay, you are allowed to, I give you permission," the lady says to her. The young girl looks up at the woman once again, but this time the woman is standing in front of her...in the light. The woman is a brunette; exactly like the young girl's. In fact, there wasn't much of a difference between them. Her eye color is a mystical blue with a hint of emerald green, her lips are full, and she is voluptuous with a small waist and curvy hips. She is every man's dream and even the young girl's dream to be. Suddenly, there is a feeling of uncertainty in the young girl's heart, the feeling as if the woman is hiding something, something important. "Forgive me, Mother, but..." she looks awayfrom the woman, "I feel as if you are hiding something from me." "My dear, there are many things I am hiding from you but, you will know all...when the times comes," she answers. The young girl looks back at the woman. "What is your name?" The woman asks. "Watseli," the young girl answers. "Watseli," the woman says as a long sigh, "how old are you?" "I am five with a mind of an eleven year old," Watseli answers. "Well," I am glas to hear that, Watseli," says the woman with a smile. Watseli looks deep into the woman's eyes. So much compassion, so much pain, and so much...life they hold. "You said I am to know more later on so, what can I know now?" She asks. "What do you want to know?" Watseli thinks for a monent and then asks, "How do I know you?" The smile on the woman's face disappears andthe woman turns and walks to the center of the cave and stops at an underground lake that has appeared out of nowhere. She sits down with her legs hiding under her dark green dress that seems to be from the dark ages. The dress flows down to the floor but the sleeves begin at the bottom of the shoulders and the collar of the dress reveals most of the upper portion of her breasts. "Sweetheart," she turns around to face Watseli, "come here." She cursors Watseli over to her side. Watseli slowly walks to her side and slowly lowers herself to her knees. She looks at the water, which is so dark it seems to not have a bottom, but it shows her relection. "You see see, my dear," the lady starts, "The question is so much harder to answer without showing." Watseli looks at the lady with desireful curious eyes and the lady looks back at her with a desire to fill her mind with with the knowledge it most dearly wants to possess. "Look once more into the water, but be careful for what you are about to see will shock you," she warns. Watseli nods to the lady to het her know she understands and does as she was told. She looks out to the water and only sees her own reflection, then she sees the lady's, but she also sees the two reflections merging into one and making only the lady's reflection. With anxiety and fear but also excitement in her heart, Watseli looks toward the lady again. "I didn't introduce myself properly to you, Watseli. I am Mother Earth, the soul of the world, and I am as old as the Earth itself. But you know me, Watseli, becasue of a different reason than just because I am the Earth, but because you are me."
