Lady Death

Lady Death

A Poem by Nick Almanza
"

just about a myth i heard once

"

Lady Death

Such a cruel mistress

Filling me with distress

She comes when i'm alone

Infallable she comes alone

Warming my heart with soothing words

Quietly she sings as soft as a bird

Oh lady death!

I know of your name

I know why you came

From the blackness of night

When the time is right

When man has nothing in his sight

For he dreams to end his life

You come spreading your dark love

holding his heart above

In an instance you tear

Blood stains your white silked gloves

A whisper is all you hear

" I love you my dear"

With that you disappear

Now you are here

But i have no fear

Take from me

In line

What is unrightfully mine

"I love you dear"

Is all i hear

" I will kill you,

to love you"
