Painting Butterflies

Painting Butterflies

A Poem by DwellerComplex
"

Mental frustration

"
Every day is so the same
Not sure how to play this game
Of life like others
Painting butterflies and pretending
Don't want to stick out
Yet I want to be special
My mind is trapped in a raging storm
Searching hold in a sea of grass
Then I dance alone
All alone in my darkened room
A solitary journey afraid to drown
Not even trying to swim

When opening my eyes
Mental frustration kicks in
If I could just
Become the star I have in my dreams
No fear or selfdoubt
So I can leave these days behind
Meantime happy I survived
Through another
While painting butterflies
To others
