Angel in DisguiseA Poem by Cass Ashe
Homeless and wandering little lad
Weary of body but tuxedo clad. Little Ollie who came from nowhere Drenched in snow with bugs in his hair. His strength wavered and body brittle But his heart suffered not from being little. He’s never been angry nor discontent Because he’s too happy now to resent. Mustached mouth and acts like a dog And always by my side he will jog. A cuddler to death and loving to boot Yet we found him all covered in soot. An angel of a cat who appeared from mist My best friend in the world, Oliver Twist. © 2024 Cass Ashe |
