Silent Stare

Silent Stare

A Poem by CompellingComposer

I’ll say this to break the silent stare
But I see you over there
And I know you see me, too
Staring at me with eyes a gorgeous crystal blue
And hair of satin silk
And skin as pale as cold milk

“ Who is he?” they ask. “ The tall one by the door?”
I shake my head and say, “ I don’t know anymore.”
I lower my head and sigh
Because I know you wont even pass by
I once knew you well, so come over for a while
I wont even mind if you fake your smile

Finally, you walk away
Without giving me anymore to say
And I count every step you take
My feeling for you I just can’t shake
With my emotional burden, you just don’t care
Now I stare at the floor, another silent stare

very nice!! the rhyme is so well executed here - I could almost feel the beat as the poem rippled through - you also did something that many struggle with - include dialogue - and keeping it natural but in rhythm!! it also has quite a poignant shade to it - sadness - the "another silent stare" - nice!
