The End of A PoetA Poem by CompellingComposerNo, I am not quitting writing. :)I never saw a bright light
My life never flashed before my eyes But, today, I lay down my head Because, today, I surely died So I decided to pick up my pen And put it to paper a final time Just to see if I can compose One final, decent rhyme But that rhyme became another And into the words I further dabbled and dived Suddenly, before I knew I found myself renewed and revived To see the death of a poet Is very pitiful to see It may have been the end of a poet But never was the end of me For poetry is a part of me It is my true friend So since it makes up so much of me My creativity shall never end -CompellingComposer © 2011 CompellingComposer |
