FatherA Poem by CompellingComposerBased on true events in my life.Father
You were there since the beginning You were always there for me Even when you said “ I love you,” I felt as though something was missing Father I always wondered How come I don’t look like your family? Every time I was with them There was no resemblance I could see Father You and mother fought so much These past three years Leaving me and my little brother to do nothing But to listen, sadly. Just to hear Father You and mother separated Why does mother hate you? She said your abusive and a liar Father, is that true? Father Mother told me something about you She says your not my real father in any way She says my real father Lives far, far away Father Mother only told me that Because she said your telling everyone She said you can’t keep your big mouth shut Father, this isn’t fun Father You’ve shown me your dark side You’re verbally and emotionally abusive to me Father, I can keep going to see you anymore Father, we just don’t agree Not My Father I don’t like you anymore When you call, I wont pick up the phone I’m going to go on and live a happy life, without you While you’re going to be Alone © 2010 CompellingComposerReviews
