One DayA Story by CompellingComposer
His feelings and admiration for his lovely maiden were ones not as strong as those he felt for the girl, which by name he never said aloud, but kept her a Jane Doe. His girl was playful, sweet, with a heart beating for the soul purpose of him, but he knew they were both quite young and that they being together forever was not something that could not be claimed as factual. He thought of the feelings they shared, at first, were true love, a beautiful thing not possessed by all, but, as he now thought, was maybe only a strong feeling of happiness. They always fought, but, somehow, always came back to each other. For the Jane Doe, for whom he had kept his love secret for many months, he loved, truly. He wanted to confess to her, his secret desire for the lady who was more than that of his fair belle, whose grace and kindness surpassed all. Her sweet fragrance seemed toxic to his patience, knowing he mustn’t tell her now, for his heart belonged to another. What would she think? Would she be thrilled or disgusted? A young lad who loved, not one, but two ladies. The on whose his heart was given to not as loved as the other for whom her said a secret passion? It throbbed in his chest, his strong heart only weakened by the Jane. He wanted to give her his all, and all she wished for, but could not, for the promise to the other.
It made his heart break and tears burn behind his eyes, but he didn’t cry, not grow weak. He would tell her, one day. Today, just wasn’t the day. THE END. © 2010 CompellingComposerAuthor's Note
