"Contradiction"

"Contradiction"

A Poem by Ariadne Grey
"

Beauty and banality converge, juxtaposed against each other.

"
" Thorns bloom
And moths suckle on its bitter nectar
Winter taints the blossom
With frost
Its acrid aroma
A melange of pine and smoke
Of Christmas days and burning corpses
And snow suffuses blood
Blushes taint her sallow cheeks
And bruises decorate her pale fingertips
She shows me the universe behind her stars
And how the infinite void is brightened with sparks
Her touch is brutal but blessed
The horrors of her tongue, hallowed on her lips
She kisses like rainwater and firestorms
Cold and chaos, snowflakes and anarchy
Her eyes plead no mercy
And she cries as if vomiting
Regurgitating
Detoxifying
The essence of her being
Like poison "
