Tear falls

Tear falls

A Poem by Emmily Wood

The final goodbye.
They will never hold eyes again.
His I love you’s meant the world to her.
Shows how foolish a girl can be.
To believe a man could love her.
Though she is never to be loved.
For she is never the type.
Never thin enough.
Never beautiful enough.
They tell her…but she hears the truth.
She tries to stay strong…as he turns away.
His face to the darkness of the night.
Her eyes…lit by the moon.
And the tear falls…
