One breath.

One breath.

A Poem by Emmily Wood

My hands are shaking
As my heart is breaking
The pain is aching
This hole in my heart is burning
This twisted world keeps turning
My love for you still living
My arms, for you, still yearning
Life isn’t the same
Without your gentle touch
The warmth of your breathe
Sweeping over my cold skin
I’ve committed my share of sins
But what have I done to be deserving
From my mistakes I am learning
My tears are streaking
For, my heart is breaking
Without you
One more breath is not worth taking
