Climb for Survival

Climb for Survival

A Poem by Emmily Wood
"

Just a small piece from a moment I was feeling rather lost.

"
Her tears fall down like rain from the sky.
It doesn’t matter what she does she hears goodbye.
So to a poetic world she’ll try to escape.
But even the words written on the page will not work.
She doesn’t understand why they say what they do.
She tries to not let it bother her…
But the words swirl around inside her pretty little head.
A fake smile fades as she lay alone in bed.
Nobody wants to hear how she feels.
She’s there for them, even for him.
“What can I do?” she whispers to herself.
“But fall slowly and pretend that I can climb.”

A very lovely piece! You really let the reader into the world of this girl. She seems sad, but so caring. Very vivid! Great job!
