Futile

Futile

A Poem by Commanda Panda

Even if I was given a chance to heal I know the wounds would scar.

And if I could reach you with my words I’d still be gone too far.

Something’s bound to counteract anything I might achieve,

So I’ll keep to myself and save myself some grief.

Being by myself is a little bittersweet,

But the pain will fade away with a little drink and sleep.
