For the Rest of My Life

For the Rest of My Life

A Poem by Commanda Panda

I finally learned to say what's important.

I finally learned to speak my mind.

But speaking too late can't mend what's broken.

The things I miss have gone flat line.

You were the best I never hated.

You were the one that got away from me.

I could unload it all and get nothing

Or set a trap that would never spring.

Every night for the rest of my life I will miss you.

You're the scar that I caress unconsciously.

Every time we talk I wish I could make you love me,

But the milk is spilled and all I can say is sorry...for blundering.
