Suspended

I sit in darkness waiting to be fully consumed by something.

Limbo has gone on for too long.

First I let myself be swallowed by darkness,

But it regurgitated me.

Then I let myself bake in the brightness of light,

But it cooled and went away.

Now here, caught in the realm of dusk,

I wonder why this torture continues.

I excel wherever I am, so why hasn't a side chosen me?
