Bad Circles

Bad Circles

A Poem by Commanda Panda

I seek safety, but I don’t see shelter.

I have power but still can’t help her.

I’m in daylight but still cloaked in shadow.

During peacetime I’m still locked in battle.

Even my dreams are my enemies.

How they taunt and tease.

Every day I feel more haunted and displeased

Is this a sign or a disease?

Tell me because I can’t comprehend this unease.

This isn’t the world I anticipated. God, I hate it.

Every day the frown deepens as I feel unelated.

I try to connect and get dislocated.

At the end of the day I’m empty handed and aggrivated.

I love the contrast in the lines.. this piece has depth and I can feel the hurt or disappointment in the lines.. Good writing.
