Factions

Factions

A Poem by Commanda Panda

Swallow me up and keep your mouth shut.

On those days which are nights you keep my mind tucked

Away safely in dimensions of safety

Far, far away from the creatures that hate me.

You’ve known this realm isn’t quite my own

Even though I’m in this vessel of frail flesh and bone.

I am a stranger in this apogee, but I offer no apologies.

All that I can spout are alien philosophies.

Prophecies? Nah. Just keen observations.

Then I’m off like a gypsy to a new destination.

I’m in search of the holy grail of new sensations.

No man alive can keep me on this reservation/plantation.

You see. You know. I ask can we strive to achieve

The goal that so many souls would die to believe?

Breathe…and relax to the law of attraction.

Our deeds separate us like a clandestine faction.

So we’ll claim this space in the name of our planets

And build us a fort to keep out the pirates and the bandits.

This sanctuary isn’t about mortar and stone.

It’s about two entities not being alone.
