It's Too Soon Boy (To See You Gone)

A tribute to a guy whom I graduated who died due to a car crash this past Friday

It’s too soon boy

to see you gone.

Never again to see that smile

so infectious to everyone around;

lighting up their life

bringing them joy.

It’s just too soon boy,

too soon.

 

You were loved by many

and touched those around you

no matter how distant you were

or whether or not you talked.

Just knowing you

was a precious gift.

Whether knowing them since kindergarten

or meeting them a month ago,

you will never be forgotten.

 

Rest easy now,

you’re in a better place;

you’re home.

I know that one day

we’ll see each other again.

Until that day,

we’ll just keep living on

with you in our thoughts.

 

Still,

we can’t help but wish

for just one more day,

one more smile.

It’s too soon boy.

Just too soon

to see you gone.
