Waiting For the End

Waiting For the End

A Poem by Jills

Dance this dance,

one step forward

while taking two back.

An ongoing cycle,

never seeming to end.

Wanting to try

and leap towards the sky,

reaching out to grab the hope

glittering above

that may lend a hand

and bring all the struggles

to an end.

Maybe someday,

when we stop moving backwards

we’ll finally see

that maybe it’s all worth it.

All this pain,

the never ending confusion

of whether to give in

and let it all end.

Or to persevere through,

finding the possible love

that was there all along.

One day we’ll find it,

just wait and see.

When that day comes,

I just hope

that it’ll have been worth it.
