The InevitableA Poem by ComewhatevermayWritten in Dec 2007 at hospice awaiting the inevitable
We sit and watch, await the inevitable. I am rubbed raw. A wound opens as if a limit has been reached, and I've had all the tragedy I can take. Now I see through filters, toned in black and white. Everything else pales in comparison.
I can't recall joy or a situation which might produce it. Only the hysteria that takes me on occasion, and I embrace it in return. I know we all come to this, but it still doesn't change the injustice of it all. This trespass will not easily be forgotten. I will carry it with me the rest of my days. © 2016 Comewhatevermay
