Dream Catcher 2A Poem by ComatoseAnother Dream catcher poem, I seem to like these
Dream catcher Dream catcher,
I don't want to stay. All is black and quiet, And I'm afraid. A light shines from behind, Fierce and hot. I turn around to look, And wish I had not. Dream catcher Dream catcher, You plague and haunt my dreams, With the face of the one I love, And all the sorrow it brings. With days of laughter, And faces with smiles, Now but a distant memory, Pained and defiled. You show me what was, What now can never be. Please, allow me wake, So I may end this misery. But in these nightmares I stay, Your threads keeping me ensnared. Reminding me that he loved me, And how he always cared. I crave for his love, For his touch once again. The strength of his arms, The warmth of his skin. I want to hold him, Capture him in one more embrace. I long to run my fingers, Up and down his face. But I know it's too late. I've cut him too deep. A pain to never heal, A wound to never bleed. I wish I could go back, And wipe clean this slate. But you never know what you have Until it's too late. I can see him start to break, And fall to the floor. My hand reaches out, And it's black once more.
