![]() Sandpaper DreamA Poem by Comatose
You should realize that there are things one can't do.
Deny it all you will, but you'll know it's true. For one, you cannot smile and see. You can't look through my eyes and just be me. You don't have wings, so you can't fly. So tumble back to earth, back into my Clutching hands, open arms and hollow eyes Scream my love, for no one will hear your cries. When you first cracked through and broke my shell, When I welcomed you to my living hell. Full of want, need, lust, and desire, Devoid of earth, ice, wind, and fire. This is me, this is who I am, what I pertain Because, my love, I'm not going to change. Not for you, and not for me. This is the way I want to be. I live in waiting, waiting for you to say my name, Abusing your body, while you take the blame. And I will smile and laugh at you, Because, my love, you know it's true. You smiled at me and let me in. This was your mistake, giving into this lustful sin.
I will repeat and relish the sound of your scream, Bouncing off the walls like a sandpaper dream. © 2010 ComatoseAuthor's Note
