Breaking Glass

Breaking Glass

A Poem by Comatose
"

Just a little piece on Alice in Wonderland :)

"
A girl in checkered gingham,
Cast as awkward and shy,
Gazed at the looking glass,
Remembering days gone by.
What became of Wonderland?
Where is her King of Hearts?
What to do with the memories,
Just before the panic starts?
Eyes of lamentation,
Silently screams of pain.
The Cheshire Cats are fading,
Their haunting grins remain.

Days of misadventure,
The perils and the thrills,
The beast beyond the looking glass,
Eats the things it kills.

Safe, this side of the mirror,
Time just seems to pass.
To a girl gone mad as a hatter,
Afraid to break the glass.
