Listen to What I'm Not Saying

Listen to What I'm Not Saying

A Poem by Comatose

Ignore the things that spill from my mouth
Ignore the jokes, the laughs, the denials
Ignore when I say that these are just words,
Ignore the quickly thought up denials.
Ignore the words, they are not to be trusted
To me, this is just a game I'm playing
So don't listen to all I insist,
Listen to what I'm not saying.
Look for the clues I leave behind,
The carefully hidden cries for help
Don't lock them away and forget about them
Don't turn a blind eye, like everyone else.
But don't be angry in the way you act,
Don't be quick and harsh in what you say
For the very thing that I cry for,
Out of fear, I shall push it away.
So please forgive me,
My weakness isn't yours to bear
But if you can...please help me,

My mask is beginning to tear.
