Words of a LiarA Poem by ComatoseSweet as the poison in your cup Gentle as the blade in your back Soothing as the warmth of your blood Dripping stark red in the black
Living only to hear them Damned the moment you do Chains of comfort cherished in blindness Precious bonds they seem to you
Serpents tongue flowing with honey Soft phrases of praise you adore Unseen, the shackles of falsehood Enslaving your will at it's core
Such is the truth of this favor This approval you crave and desire So cursed is the child, the woman, the man Who pays heed to the words of a liar © 2010 ComatoseAuthor's Note
