My NameA Story by ComatoseFirst english assignment, simply asked 'If you could choose your name, what would it be?' I liked my answer. My name is not my own. I am not elegant, nor am I aesthetic. I don't see the need for unnecessary things, especially if they are used for no other reason than to make something prettier. So my name, Janelle, is by no means who I am. Janelle is derived from the French language, and it's meaning is simply 'Little L.' It is a nauseatingly pretty word, one which I don't care to see, let alone use everyday of my life. The last letter of the name, 'e', is not even needed. The French language has placed it there for no other reason than it is pleasing to see. It must be a sad letter, to be brought into existence only to be silent and pretty. That is a letter I will never be. If I could have chosen my name, I would now introduce myself Tsura. This name has no known origin, and as such, the only meaning of it has been presented in numerology. To me, that is simply excusable, since there are too many numbers anyway. Unlike most other names, Tsura doesn't have little things like meanings and derivations to define it; Tsura can be whatever it wants, because it is free. I like that idea. To me, it seems quite ideal.
