Unity in Sound

Unity in Sound

A Poem by Christina Marie

Flick of a switch, the crowd wakes to life.
Strum of six strings, a spark ignites.
It travels off stage among thousands of feet,
that show wear and tear of travel, success and defeat.

It permeates up limbs and lungs breathe rapidly.
SA nodes rewire so hearts beat in synchrony.
Evaporate thoughts from preoccupied brains
until minds begin to think and feel the same

Contagious liberation to surrender all fear--
the growing exhilaration from thoughts finally made clear.
Potential accumulates--a spark to a flame.
Hope for tomorrow--for a chance to be the change.

A single song collapses walls revealing ever-present unity.
A mess to a masterpiece:

For 3 minutes and 17 seconds
2473 worlds
become one.
