A dedication to a girl that may never read this...

The Unspoken
A Poem by Colton Warr

What is thy bidding, my dark haired princess?
Just name the place and I'll be present in an instant
What if you did? Just breathe my name into the air
And send with it an invitation but only if you dare

Your beauty has slowly dripped all over my feed
Now, to meet you is something that I need
I can't explain it, I seem to be broken
Can I speak to you what is never spoken?

What is thy wish, my living dream?
For you are tearing my heart at its very seam
Would you take a chance and reach out for my hand?
And do these things that I humbly command?

I long to know you, I long for a taste
For us to collide, perhaps you should brace
Only one chance is all that I desire
And, doll, nothing else will you ever require

And what if we did it? Let's kill the games
Bury the corpses along with the shame
I know you're wild and I do not wish to tame
I just want to be the one that you claim

Thank you very much, my friend! I am glad you enjoyed this one! Thanks for giving it a read!
This is hitting on all cylinders!!! I love the rhyme & rhythm, plus your word construction & storytelling is vivid & clear. Most of all, you've captured the most perfect balance between begging this other person, yet also doing it with a light touch, so as to honor his/her independent nature. This is so pertinent to today's online friendships, where we never meet half the people we engage with in so many meaningful ways. We're dying to meet face-to-face, yet we hold back with fear of the many rejections & abandonments that are doled out regularly. This message is so powerful, it's something I think about often, as I'm sure many people do. Very relatable & well-stated.

Lovely piece, also I see there is a distance created between two lovers which is similar to my life real story. The way I long and the way I crave for her, I could find my feelings in your words.

If you have someone show this to her she might give you more than just a chance. You step out....take that chance. Only 2 answers. YES or NO> Valentine

Well, What a Lovely Piece. Sounds like Romeo is in Love again. With Love, Pain is inevitable; Two sides of the Same coin. Buddy If she is your Soulmate, I bet she will read this, Some Day, If not today. And, If she doesn't, Move on. Loved the Last Stanza. =)
