An Undelivered Poem

An Undelivered Poem

These words are for you, as all of them are...

"
An Undelivered Poem
A Poem by Colton Warr

I feel unsettled and missing
Like a nomad traveling through an unknown land
Nettled and Reminiscing
I once knew every small texture of your hand

I feel confused and paranoid
Like a man who had just committed murder
Fused and Destroyed
My mind does everything to preserve her

I feel soulless and guilty
Like the Grim Reaper who comes to take
Boneless and Filthy
I am broken in ways I did not know I could break

I feel stressed and disturbed
Like a student before the final exam
Oppressed and Perturbed
I think I have given you all that I am

*****

Could I ask?
Do you sometimes feel as if you’re going through the motions?
Drink from my flask
I beg to again be lost within your ocean
Could I touch?
Do you sometimes reach out for my face with your hand?
Your hearts clutch
Shackle me in, never again to disband
Could I kiss?
Do you sometimes still gaze into nothing, wishing it was me?
I guess I miss,
Whenever you were the only thing I would ever see

Amazing poetry my friend. You brought me in and held me to the last words.
"Could I touch?
Do you sometimes reach out for my face with your hand?
Your hearts clutch
Shackle me in, never again to disband
Could I kiss?"
The above lines are amazing. I could write a complete poem from these words and emotion. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

Well, as I read this I felt the emotion built into it. You spoke from your heart and soul, and connected with me. I was tearing up as I read it.

I loved this one doll...if a man wrote this with me in mind..I'd cum running to his knee.
Love the two word rhyme structure in the first part...perfectly chosen, unique life images that show both who you are..and you ache, frustration and deep longing.
Confuzzled heart questions at the end..bringing a dual piece closure that leaves the mind flooded.

Mih favorite of yours I think...quite a talented, creative, deep thinking felling man Sir.

Love and wishes for soul closure...

I apologize for the late response!
I loved this, it touched a sentimental part of me. I could hear a voice speaking it softly; speaking of love lost but not over. The kind of love you remember at night, when you're lonely and drunk, when you're at your lowest point and you need the touch of someone you loved again.
10/10 amazing job!

Nice with the rhyme, nice with the rhythm and you made it easy to translate what you're going through and easy for us to relate. The poem exists on its own, so it can be delivered to every heart, as a good poem should. Keep writing, you were obviously meant to.
