And I appreciate that so much! I believe we do all have our masks, and I believe that sometimes we don't even really know that we are wearing them. Im happy that you enjoyed this one, thanks for giving this a read!
I think it's one of the best thing that I have read today, there are so many read request pending and the word 'mask' always interest me, this I would say it was very different from the way people generally depict mask. This had more inner touch and conflict. Brilliantly written, sir!

I really love the inspiration behind this poem. Masks are a difficult thing to have, and yet sometimes essential. The second line in the four stanza I thought was perfect. That's the point when the mask because so bothersome and treacherous, and you captured the moment when the narrator loses his sense of direction expertly. I also really enjoyed where you talk about confusing family and love. That line really stood out to me as a serious danger of wearing the mask too much. Amazing poem!

The masks can be a heavy burden to carry, yet we feel this desire to carry them. I penned this because it is exactly what I have been going through. That mask became too heavy for me and I felt as if i needed to reveal some things. It can be very refreshing. The mask always seems to come creeping back though, doesn't it? I'm happy that you enjoyed this piece! Thanks for reading!
Gorgeous write, one of the best i've read today, all that is going on inside of us will never be fully displayed so i guess we all have our mask....

I wonder if those masks will ever go away....
Your welcome.
a great write indeed - the battles we play out over and over in our minds - we all do it - our mind does not stop - it can't stop - so what better way to keep on going that to drive us mad with wonder if we have trully taken the right direction - ahhhhhh - if we had all the answers we would already be home - very well done my friend XX

They can't stop, and they force us to wear masks even when we think we aren't. It can be very refreshing to remove said mask, but that mask seems to always creep back doesn't it? The mind is a funny thing. I'm glad you liked this one, thanks for reading!
I like the ending, I am particular to using endings like these myself....about the poem, your words are so true "forever destined to aimlessly roam" this line sums up the struggle and loss of hope of the subject very well. Can I ask what inspired u to write this?

I felt like a lot of where I was was because of a variation of masks that I would wear, and not the real me. And it's so tough to actually go a whole day without wearing a mask, but it can be beyond refreshing To finally rip it off. But it always seems to creep back, doesn't it? I felt like I was not me around everyone I would interact with. And I hated that. So I penned this. I'm glad you liked this one, thanks for reading, my friend!

Fantastic thought provoking piece!
I enjoyed this piece because for many reasons but the question you
choose to end with is killer, so many wearing fake masks today that
even the people wearing them don't recognize that they have them on,
sad but true, brilliant work, thanks for sharing and b-blessed!
