Wish Upon a Star

I wish to live in a world where security is guaranteed

Where no one has to get hurt nor get sick

Where there are no wars

Where there is no need to fear for life

I wish to see couples who are truly in love

Madly deeply staring at each others' eyes

With love, lust, and desire

Happily contented with one another

For trust is built and barriers are broken

I wish to quench the world with its hunger and thirst

The kids in Africa…

The guy you see everytime in the streets

Who happens to be left by everyone

He loves and cherish

Yet still manages to hold a smile

In this forsaken world

I want a perfect body

By perfect I do mean it is with flaws

Because flaws are important

I just don't want cancer

Or anything that would keep me down

I wish to rid the world of illness and accidents

No one has to die because of system malfunctions

No one has to suffer for no reason

A father who is willing to give everything to his family

Love, attention, his health…

A man who only wants to settle down

and finally be happy

Yet is plagued by a debilitating condition

That slowly eats him down

As well as his whole family

Not to mention fear and worry only worsens

His poor ill heart

Which only decreases the chance of him

finding a new job

He is old and nearing retirement now

He was set-up and fired

He couldn't do anything though

For he sees himself as small and worthless…

Why do good people have to suffer?

I have no qualms if the evil are to be tortured

Slow and painful agony

Their hostility brings fear to the hearts of many

The fear their husbands feel

When they are awaiting their wife late at night

Or the unsuspecting child with a nearing van

Oh how I wish!...

But you see dreamers can only dream

And wishers are to waste their breath

Dreams are dead

and so will be the theft's next victim

And I can do nothing really

But to slowly descend in silence

And weep about my existence

Because stars are already dead when we see them
