Red Black and Blue

Red Black and Blue

A Poem by Star Noble

America

This country was built on hatred and discrimination-

Thrived on it for so long

So why do I love it so much?

Because it was founded by freedom seekers.

And freedom is what our people have been seeking ever since.

But maybe the story is different-

Because perhaps that is not where it begins

Perhaps the story begins with hope and love

And peace

That is interrupted by thieves

Of land

Who want to claim her as their own-

America.

So who really owns her? Who really owns her land?

It's very interesting to think about how much America has changed ever since they first found the new world. Even I have some doubts about this countries "freedom" and how they describe it when it comes to immigrants from far away. Great poem, I love your mindset here. Keep at it.
