RestorationA Poem by JennyinCO
When the winter gets in
Down deep where it hurts Just there at the dividing line Between sinew and hope Look out past the blowing aspens Squint hard against the stinging blast To see the faint amber glow Of fire against glass He waits for you there And no one else has the address He bids you come To sit awhile and daydream Be the little girl in Daddy's Lap Hold tight to the rhythm of His chest Rising and falling Breath of Life flowing into you This is restoration Hold it tight. © 2013 JennyinCOReviews
