Too many people live life without pause

Life in a hurry, no meaning or cause

 

Too many people show off what they bought

Spending their money, without giving thought

Young people living their lives like a race

Possessions and money are what they give chase

 

Parents are working, not hurrying home

Leaving their children to tend on their own

There's too many people who talk without thinking

Told what to think from the kool-aid they're drinking

 

Too many words are spoken out loud

Inciting a riot, instead of making us proud

Weekends and years, and decades pass by

Wondering what will they remember me by

 

Pause for a moment, with smile on face

There is no rewind, there is no backspace

You are absolutely right. I say this as I race through my days, juggling Facebook, Criters; Cae, three novels in progress, rewrites on another, two art projects and a study plan. I'm not wasting my mind; I making it go at warp speed.

He is to my mind the greatest living poet. A long time member of the cafe he keeps a low profile.

Thanks Brian, Tate is a good friend, and tends to puff me up somewhat. The only difference is that I've been writing for 50 years, so I suppose I should have learnt something in that time. It's either that, or go out and get a job.... lol.
