How Many

How Many

A Poem by Colon Osquapy
"

A look at life

"
How many nights can we lie awake,
Contemplating each of our little mistakes,
How many times can we miss the signs,
And watch people suffer behind bright eyes,
How many times can look at our reflections,
And hate what we see and make false connections,
How many times can we turn a blind eye,
To the tyranny of our politicians as they let people die,
How many times can we shoulder racist rants,
When we all know too well, everyone deserves a chance,
How many times can we still say it's fine,
How many times, until we all lose our minds.

Excellent. ..a very bold write...among the flavours of poetry satire is my favourite kind especially if it has to do with social issues. ..Each and every line is so true and thought provoking. Very well done. I really liked it to the core.
