Perversity in extremis

Perversity in extremis

A Poem by COLLYMORE
"

At peace with one's self!

"

By Stanley Collymore

I’d much prefer to be on my own, as frankly it

appears better that way; for even the problems

I then encounter appear to have a rationale

that I can better understand even if I

don’t empathize with them all.

But to go to great lengths to

avoid something with the utmost meticulous

care only for it to perversely follow you

around and wreak its devastating and

incalculable consequences upon

you is not only hard to actually

comprehend but also quite

impossible to ever accept.
