If there were someone to remind me

Of the pleasure of feeling cherished,

To assure me that love is fate,

That science and reasoning promote chemistry,

And there's someone destined to create

A fire deep inside, burning to the edges,

Curling the pages that define me,

Jumping to the conclusion, the ending

Far too satisfying to delay-

I'd finally sleep sound tonight, knowing

That patience will envelop me, finally pay

For the breakdown, when solitude and yearning

Collapsed a hint of will, when days

Were long, nights eternity,

Exhausted from the depths of a fantasy

That's been played out a hundred times,

Cut short of the ending,

A fairy tale that's never spoken

Amongst the love of the living,

A love I fear no being will create

That line really jumped out at me, but I really love this whole piece!
