Hi, My Name is Calico

Hi, My Name is Calico

A Poem by Colette
"

A 10-word Vintage Slang challenge I created for my poetry group the Almost Dead Poets Society.

"

you know i’m a finger popper

show stopper

semi retired club hopper

scooter is how i roll

won’t see me on no chopper

you know you need to pick up some cabbage

set down your baggage

pitch woo, and

get to findin’ out what you can do

to make me coo!

cuz i’ve been fightin’ from hell to breakfast

i’ve been dyin’

for a future, better than my past

watchin’ to see who will outlive, outlast, and

i been buyin’ what u been profilin’

but ur talk don’t equal my sass

walkin’ the walk is what will earn you my a*s

some of them boys, they got the shorts

their dingus ain’t no torte

i’ve got the eggs, they’ve got the nuts

the rest is just crumbs...and

in the art of cunnilingus...they are dumb!

you know i’ve got mad gams!

you wanna climb up them

but you, like them, have been used to jam

i AM the berries....strawberry baby

you want my sex, gimme George Michael

Not Wham!

this chassis is equipped

with caramel and vanilla, i am double dipped

you want your cream whipped?

then use a slow hand, cuz i am classy

don’t hump me like no Lassie

cuz i’m that cool cat with the 9 lives

get you so nervous, you’ll break out in hives

but if you stroke me right

i’ll take you to my alley, and show you the sights

make you feel soooo alive

My Name is Calico

and yeah, you guessed it....

i AM the cat’s Meow!
