I'm Gonna Crawl

I'm Gonna Crawl

A Poem by Colette
"

Being a positive role model

"

I’m gonna walk the walk
Ride the ride

Go, see, do

Push the BS aside

Show those young people
How to live
Cuz tellin’ them ain’t workin’

Everyone b*****s
Whines
Cries
Pouts

About this city, this state
These clubs, those guys
Their jobs, but
They do little to remedy their existence.

I’m gonna fly
Tag every state
Visit every paradise
Straddle every street

I’m gonna change careers
Live my dreams
I’m gonna float

Gonna buy a scooter
Do my part for the environment, and
Have some fun!

Adopt a polar bear
A tiger, and
Roar!

I’m gonna celebrate
This single, singular
Life

I’m gonna make my daddy proud, and
Honor my mother’s memory
I’m gonna live

Take baby steps
Large strides
Leap boundaries
Chase rainbows, lift blinds
Until my breath is gone, and

My message lives on
On paper

I will find my sun, and
Keep wishing for you
To find yours.

Being an old Led Zepplin fan, I was immediately drawn to your title. (The first song that plays on my profile is "I'm gonna Crawl") That's beside the point, really. No, your poem is an energetic statement of your intention to live life to the fullest. May it always be so, and if you fall, may you get back up.

Make the best of your existence. Life's too short to watch it go by, doing the same things we do week in and out. Awesome write, it's almost like urban hiking eh. Be sure to make a stop in ct ;)
btw:
"Take baby steps

Great lines there.
