the ripple effect

the ripple effect

A Poem by Colette
"

a man needs to be reprimanded to correct his behavior

"

you’ve stumbled upon the anomaly of this city
c’est moi
je suis différent
for better, for worse
fascinating nonetheless

you’re still stumbling, so
how will you ever acknowledge
the difference
between me, and them?
keeping it meaningless

would your sisters
your mother
respect
your disrespect for women?
your leap before your look?

as i played “Ordinary People”
for you
i commented on the extraordinary
c’est moi
je suis jolie, c’est vrai

but i’m more
i’m so much more

et toi
tu est impossible, il n’est pas moi
i see through the barrier
there is an uncommon fabric in your existence
beneath the textured surface you parade

but you behave ordinary
like an ordinary man

is this how you wish to live?

wouldn’t you rather be swinging
from trees?
wouldn’t you rather penetrate
the tough skin of the pomegranate?
and get to the unique interior

vive la différence!

seize the opportunity while it presents itself
open your mind
to the optimistic woman
who makes the passion for living
effortless

Colette, i found your love poem to hold the heart
sentimentally, expressions of sculpted desires, as
i found the passion of the wording Captivatingly
intriguing, skillfully rendered thoughts of emotion,
poetical brilliance, in my opinion, the city being
the optimistic woman who makes the passion for living
effortless, You truly never cease to amaze me, peace, mike
