But the signs told me to go this way

But the signs told me to go this way

A Poem by Colette
"

feeling jilted and watching Barfly...one tends to write stuff like this...

"

from Barfly " a movie inspired by Charles Bukowski’s life:

Wanda:  “What is it?”

Henry:  “It’s hatred.  It’s the only thing that lasts.”

But the signs told me to go this way

I should put paper to pen

Pen whatever comes out of me

Me who finds herself alone

Alone in this life

Life as the last

Last on the rotation

Rotation I don’t want to be in at all

All that I am

Am I not enough?

Enough to be more than a Bukowski moment?

Moment when I meet my soul mate in my dream

Dream that happens before waking life

Life that mimics dreams except for that

That which brings you to me

Me who gets teased

Teased into believing prophecies exist

Exist for what?

What if this is Love?

Awesome Colette. I'm glad I randomly searched you out yet again. In my opinion this is one of the best pieces I've read of yours. You went with a structure that read so powerfully well. Yeah, I want to have a drink with Bukowski too :p
