Untitled, 2012 NYEA Poem by Coletteto live inside a poem...
To live inside a poem...
is an Untitled painting a day to sleep in a night where a soul mate visits
it’s a place to feel safe a place to speak of fears a place where someone is listening
To live inside a poem...
is a state of unconsciousness a meltdown with a soft landing a high without the hangover
it’s a dream where we hug the dead it’s an invitation a dinner for two
To live inside a poem...
is utopia within dystopia it’s a get out of jail free card it’s bliss
it’s Zen it’s the Promised Land it’s Zion
it’s Shangri-la
it is truly Nirvana © 2013 Colette |
