Tis the Season

Tis the Season

A Poem by Colette
"

read between the lines, and u tell me

"

Some people are good

            at creating magnificent things

Some people are great

            at selling bullshit

We live in a world of fanciful illusions

Everyone (even secretly)

            wants to be famous

Many

            will manipulate

The good

            don’t get taken seriously

The good

            get taken advantage of

The rude...

            to borderline...

                        to obnoxious

The disrespectful

            under, in, on

ones domain

They push over

            block

hoping you’ll dare ask them

“Will you please move your cart?”

So they can assault you

            verbally

            physically

            emotionally

And the givers keep giving

The takers keep taking

and I ask

Why is a genius mind,

a suffering soul,

a brave heart,

one of the good ones...

only appreciated after

they’re dead?

Are they appreciated? I can you tell you that it's not always like that. and if they are appreciated it's only because people take things for granted and don't thank what they have in front of their eyes.

Poem is written in a very unique lyrical style - like stairs towards the main question. Describes our world from an observer's eye, which gives us idea that this poem is a critic poem towards such matters.

I really liked your poem, thanks for sharing it!

So Deep, Colette...in life, the irony...you have to take the good with the bad...no either or, just speaking from experience, and more so people my age will know what I'm saying after living life for a bit...example, if theres innocence, theres corruption...excellent write, as always, Colette.

Respect, sweetie. :)
haaa,for again dear thats life,stupid life,stupid people
they respect arrogance, and bullies,so they say
they show high respect ,people think they are strong
so they behave and never afraid of people like you and me
the underground people ,people who go unseen in everyday life
they never show but on occasions, like apparition, light souls
so unseen ..others think they dont even deserve to live
and again, read between the lines,ha ha
lovely write
