Where do we go from here?

Where do we go from here?

A Poem by Colette

Your blues are like drunken mortar

the mentality suppresses

the infidelities

despair

Retracted from the thoughts

of cerebral disconnect

A monkey awaits

in the middle of nowhere

to reach to Venus

as she bypasses the sun

of another moon

disenchanted by memories

flocking in a winged migration

south

to a borderline of disrespect

dishevel and disregard

for matters of the heart

Mountains and insects

bites and stings

creeping up your spine

going nowhere

if you won’t let it

climb

And we dine

in diners and train cars

headed to nowhere

never leaving here.

Synapse fires...Kapow....Bright lights, Big City, Kitty Kitty, Cool Cat...ready to get freaky deaky...tomorrow, tomorrow, it will all be the same.

Gosh, I don't know how I missed this poem...but you always just speak from your voice...and I Love That...it can be mundane to the excited moments....your voice always speaks, to me. :)

I enjoyed this poem. Title got my attention. Each set of line added to the entertaining poem. Sometime we do learn in a place with no place to be or go. Must decide quickly and hope for a good landing. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
