A Little Advice:

By Matthew S. Van Hove

You write and I read.

This is the way it goes,

From here to eternity and back again.

I write and you read.

Things change very little.

I give my heart to you and you turn your eyes.

Darkness is all you see once I speak.

One can only fail if you believe in perfection.

Your perfection.

Your flaw.

I offer solace in comforting words.

Words of experiance and teaching.

Nothing I say will allow you to see.

Your perfection is only visible to you.

I am not perfect

Nor do I believe myself to be the opitome of that word.

Perfection.

Grasp at the golden ring and you will see,

A little advice is all you need.

Youth clouds the mind with lack of reason.

Only hostility and anger come from a disagreement.

So now I read anew.

All without you.

Lots of emotion running through this piece. I really enjoyed reading it. That's what I love about writing: Anything can give you the inspiration to write! Even bad things.

This is great!

Who was the total jackass who gave you that bad review? That dude needs to learn some manners. Great poem by the way.
